Privacy policy

This policy explains how DigiEthic ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through www.digiethic.com. Last updated: October 15, 2026.

Who we are

DigiEthic, 43-01 21st St, Long Island City, NY 11101, United States. For any privacy question, email inquiry@digiethic.com or call +1 (415) 532-3068.

What we collect

When you fill in a form (consultation, free plan or audit request): your name, email address, website, the service you're interested in, and, if you choose, a rough description of your current marketing and a preferred meeting day and time. We also record which page the form was sent from.

When you email or call us: whatever you choose to tell us, plus your email address or phone number.

Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, for example pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location (city level), device type, and whether you sent a form or tapped our phone number or email. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as `_ga`) and is provided by Google LLC.

  • In the UK, EU, EEA and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.
  • Elsewhere, analytics runs by default and you can click "Decline" in the banner to turn it off.
  • To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again. You can also install Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

We don't use advertising cookies or ad pixels on this website.

Why we use it, and the legal basis

  • To reply to your request and arrange a call. Legal basis (UK/EU): steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • To prepare for the call, for example by looking at your public website and ads. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • To measure how the website is used (Google Analytics). Legal basis: your consent in the UK, EU and EEA; legitimate interest elsewhere.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use form details for unrelated marketing emails without your consent.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it: our website host, Google (analytics), our email and form delivery provider, and our CRM if we use one. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you are in the UK or EU, your data will be processed in the US. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework used by our providers.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become clients: up to 24 months, then deleted. Client records: for the length of the engagement plus the period required for tax and legal purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and US state privacy laws such as California's), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email inquiry@digiethic.com and we will respond within one month. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

UK residents can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). EU residents can contact their local data protection authority.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
